What is an Annual?
An Annual is a plant or flowering plant that lives for just one season. They can grow from seeds or bulbs.

Some examples of Annuals-

  • Bachelor Buttons

  • Coleus

  • Cosmos

  • Geranium

  • Petunias

  • Pansies

  • Zinnias

Planting after buying-

When transplanting, dig a hole at least twice as wide as the pot the plant is growing in, but no bigger. Carefully loosen the roots before planting. This will help the roots grow better after transplanting, especially if the plant is rootbound. After planting make sure to cover the roots well with soil and water well.

Because each Annual has it own watering needs, water when the soil is dry or when temperatures are high.

Do Annuals need full sun?

All plants need sun, some more than others.

Some Annuals like part shade to full shade. It all depends on the plant
